'Above and Beyond' for the Police Federation

In the second year of a powerful communications partnership, the Police Federation and ITN Productions are again producing a news and current-affairs style programme, hosted by national newsreader, Natasha Kaplinsky.

Above and Beyond’ will report on the issues that impact on the health and safety of police officers, and their effectiveness in an environment of cost-cutting and changing threats to public safety.

ITN Productions’ experienced reporting team will deliver compelling stories, case studies and interviews on leading individuals, organisations and technologies that are helping officers meet the challenges of cybercrime, terrorism, budget cuts and modern criminal justice.

The programme will also include part two of a Special Report on Firearms, investigating the potential impact of IPCC Guidelines on the recruitment and retention of trained firearms specialists, and a studio interview with POLFED England and Wales Chair, Steve White.

‘Above and Beyond’ launches at the Police Federation Annual Conference in Birmingham on 16-17 May 2017. It will spearhead a communications campaign directed towards POLFED membership, police forces throughout the UK  and professional partners, as well as journalists, writers and bloggers.
