Secretary of State for Justice, David Lidington thinks that it is 'perfectly reasonable' for a minority government to have control over the selection of MP's on parliamentary committees. Last night the House of Commons voted with a majority of 19 to allow the conservative party to decide which MP's sit on which committees, effectively handing the conservatives dominance over all legislation throughout the duration of this parliament, and turning the majority of MP's into mere spectators.
