Scaling the nation's iconic structures revealing the buildings' secrets and telling their stories.

Climbing Great Buildings combines architecture, engineering and history as we use urban climbing techniques to reveal the history of architecture and engineering in Britain.

Each episode focuses on the design and construction of one iconic structure and its role in the history of British architecture and engineering – from the Norman engineering feat that is Durham Cathedral to St Paul's Cathedral and the Industrial Revolution's Clifton Suspension Bridge to the 21st century Imperial War Museum North.

Our presenter – architectural historian Dr. Jonathan Foyle, aided by expert climber Lucy Creamer scales the building to dissect the inner and outer workings of these significant British designs.
